You wish to reconstitute all or part of your family history, to shape the descent of a grandfather, to find members of your family, or to clarify an inheritance: the genealogy firm Chercheur d'Histoires offers you all types of genealogical research at within the various archive centers in France.

We can thus update your lineage or that of your ancestors, so that the memory of the ties that unite you does not disappear, and that you and your children can assert your rights during a succession. All you need to do is provide us with your birth certificate (at least), and/or that of your parents and grandparents.

Genealogical research services

  • Agnatic or Cognatic ancestry

    Agnatic ancestry is a genealogical search concerning your male ancestors, on both sides of your family tree, with the mention of the wife if possible, and over a defined number of generations. It can go back to your paternal filiation until about 1700 (or even more), if the archives allow it.

    The Cognatic ancestry refers to your female ancestors, on both sides of your family tree, with mention of the spouse when possible.

  • Patronymic Ancestry

    Also called direct line genealogy, this genealogical research aims to find direct line ancestors with the same surname. The exploration of this patronymic line focuses on the birth, marriage and death certificates of ascendants born in the 20th century until at least the revolutionary period.

    This patronymic ancestry concerns only the father/son filiations on the male branch bearing the patronymic. The first and last names of the spouses are indicated when possible.

  • Direct ancestry by neighborhood (direct filiation)

    Complete search of your direct line ancestors, on both sides of your family tree. This genealogical ancestry by neighborhood therefore concerns all the male and female ancestors, generation after generation, on the two branches of your family. Chercheur d'Histoires can thus go back as far as around 1700, if there are sufficiently well-preserved archives.

  • Ancestry by neighborhoods (with or without collaterals)

    This is to identify your ancestors on both branches (father and mother) of your family tree, with or without mention of their collaterals, i.e. their brothers and sisters, up to 8 generations or more, if there are usable archives.

  • Descendants with or without collaterals

    You wish to find cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews or nieces, in order to find the descendants of an ancestor, or to prepare a succession. This is the purpose of this search, which will also allow you to find cousins ​​during the organization of cousinades.

  • Psychogenealogy

    Chercheur d'Histoires offers to accompany you in the search for your origins as part of your psychogenealogy approach, a discipline allowing you to resolve the blockages linked to past generations. We thus offer you a psychogenealogy package, up to 5 generations.

  • Occasional genealogical research

    Passionate about genealogy, you practice as an amateur and cannot find the act that would allow you to advance further in your research. Or you have an urgent need to find one or more members of your family, as part of an estate.

    The genealogy office offers you all types of one-off research allowing you to unblock these situations and move forward in these different steps: Birth, Marriage, Death Certificates, Marriage contracts, Notarial deeds, military distinctions, etc And this everywhere in France and abroad, as soon as archives in good condition are accessible.
